The Phoenicians founded nations. They brought civilization to an uncivilized world. They introduced laws to protect people from being unjustly treated. They were responsible for the establishment of schools of learning, for medicine, sports, entertainment and science as well as advancements in technology including innovations in building and civil engineering. Believe it or not, those Phoenicians were NOT Canaanites!
